Barça keeps an eye on Emmanuel N’Goran

FC Barcelona continue to monitor Emmanuel N’Goran. At 19, the Ivorian defender from Real Betis remains part of the Catalan club’s plans, having already been the subject of an attempted signing this summer.

An initial approach without success

Emmanuel N’Goran currently plays for Real Betis’ reserve team in Spain’s fourth division. Despite his young age, the defender has reportedly already attracted the attention of several scouts. Barcelona had attempted to bring him in to strengthen their reserve team during the last transfer window. But the discussions did not lead to an agreement, and the player ultimately remained in Seville.

Real Betis believe in N’Goran’s potential and could soon offer him a place in the first team. This development is being closely followed by Barça, who continue to keep the Ivorian defender on their radar. The player still has a long-term contract, as he is tied to the Andalusian club until the summer of 2030.

Barcelona also monitoring Brazil

At the same time, the Catalan club is also tracking Arthur Dias, a young Brazilian defender from Athletico Paranaense. The 19-year-old has just been called up to the Brazilian national team. Permanently promoted to Athletico Paranaense’s first team last winter, Arthur Dias has already made 50 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal.

According to Mundo Deportivo, chief scout João Amaral was present at the player’s last match against Bahia to watch him. Athletico Paranaense are reportedly asking around €30 million. His contract with the Brazilian club runs until 2028. These two cases come as Barça are enjoying an excellent start to the season, with seven consecutive victories in La Liga and top spot in the standings.
