Barcelona seems determined to continue its pursuit of Argentinian players one by one. The Catalan club wants to bring in a top-class striker, and it appears that after the Julian Alvarez deal fell through, they are looking for an alternative before the start of the new season.

Barcelona are targeting Lautaro Martinez

According to what was mentioned on the Jijantes website, Barcelona has started making official moves for Lautaro Martinez after Julian Alvarez was the number one target for Barcelona, but up to this moment Barcelona has not made any official offer to acquire the Argentine star Lautaro.

Barcelona spent a lot of money trying to sign Julian Alvarez, and it seems that the final decision of Atletico Madrid is that Alvarez is not for sale.

Lautaro Martinez has been linked with Barcelona several times before, but this time it seems more difficult because the player had signed a three-year contract extension until 2029, so if Barcelona wants to acquire his services, they must work hard to secure the services of the Argentine striker.

Barcelona might have the funds to push a deal through, but observers caution that it would come as no surprise if Inter either demand a steep price or flatly reject the Catalans' overtures.
