Barcelona could open negotiations for Christopher Nkunku

Newspaper reports have revealed that Barcelona may be interested in signing Christopher Nkunku, the current AC Milan striker and former Chelsea player, this summer. The player is not in the plans of AC Milan's new coach, Ruben Amorim, and the Portuguese coach has informed him of this, which may facilitate the player's departure to seek a new experience.

Barcelona are looking for a striker

Robert Lewandowski's contract expires and he leaves Barcelona after his European football journey ends, moving to America Limon, the new striker for Chicago Fire, and Ferran Torres' recent move to Paris Saint-Germain leave Barcelona currently without a true center forward, while the Catalan management is still negotiating for Julian Alvarez.

Nkunku could be a good solution for the center forward position. The player's price is low, but the main decision rests with the German coach Hansi Flick, who is still trying to convince the management to push and try until the last breath for Julian Alvarez.

According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, who specializes in the transfer market, Barcelona has contacted the French player's entourage after Portuguese coach Amorim excluded him from his plans for next season.

Given the context of Milan's summer business, this exclusion shouldn't come as too much of a shock. Earlier in the window, I Rossoneri secured the transfer of Gonçalo Ramos from PSG—a move that brought a two-time Champions League winner to Serie A.

That signing came on the heels of a rather underwhelming season for the Frenchman, who managed just 11 goal involvements across 35 appearances, with eight of those being goals scored himself. All of this followed the Italian side's payment of a package worth €42 million to Chelsea.
