Belgium: Courtois considers ending his career at Real Madrid

Thibaut Courtois has reaffirmed his commitment to the Madrid club and envisions spending several more years wearing the colors of the Spanish giants.

In an interview with Spanish radio station Onda Cero, the goalkeeper expressed his desire to continue his journey in the Spanish capital before calling time on his career there.

"I want to play another four or five years at Real Madrid and retire here," declared the Belgian international.

The 34-year-old shot-stopper also revealed that he quietly extended his contract last year without public attention.

"Last year, I renewed my contract and nobody knew about it," he explained.

Currently representing Belgium at the 2026 World Cup, Courtois also left some uncertainty regarding his international future.

"This could be my last World Cup," he indicated.

Widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers of his generation, Courtois continues to write his story with Real Madrid, where he has established himself as a key figure since his arrival in 2018.

If his wish comes true, the Belgian could end his career at the club where he has claimed the greatest trophies in European football.
