Brahim Diaz still wanted in Turkey

After the failed pursuit of Mohamed Salah, Besiktas continues its search for a top-class winger. The Istanbul club has now reportedly set its sights on Brahim Diaz, whose situation at Real Madrid is being closely monitored.

A new target for Istanbul's management

Turkish media report that Besiktas is currently assessing the feasibility of bringing in the Moroccan international. Club officials have made inquiries about the terms of a possible transfer, though no official offer has yet been submitted to Real Madrid. The need to sign an attacking player has become more pressing after Václav Černý's underwhelming performances in the opening matches of the season.

Under contract until 2027, Brahim Diaz will only leave Madrid if the Spanish club decides to let him go. According to reports from Turkey, José Mourinho will have to make a decision on the player's future before talks can move forward in earnest.

Capable of playing on both wings as well as behind the striker, Brahim Diaz remains one of the most versatile players in the Madrid squad. Last season, he featured in 42 matches, scoring 2 goals and providing 9 assists.

The 26-year-old Moroccan international also shone at the last World Cup, notching four assists in six matches. However, the fierce competition within the Madrid squad could influence the Merengues' management as they weigh their decision in the coming weeks.
