Chelsea are discussing the possibility of signing Danny Welbeck!

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are keen on the deal, believing the player could be a valuable addition to the team if he joins from Brighton & Hove Albion. Talks are expected to take place soon.

The player has extensive experience in the Premier League, as he is one of the key players in the Seagulls team at the age of 35.

Chelsea know why they want Danny Welbeck!

Since arriving from Watford in 2020, Yahoo Sports reports that the player has scored 51 goals in 201 appearances for the Seagulls. He also contributed a career-high 13 league goals in 37 games for Brighton last season, an impressive tally for a player of his age.

The player signed a contract extension with Brighton last March for 12 months, which keeps him a player within the Seagulls' ranks until the end of the 2026-2027 season.

Chelsea currently has several effective names in the center forward position, namely the outstanding Joao Pedro, Emmanuel Emegha, Marc Guiu and Nicolas Jackson, and questions continue about who will be the main striker next season.
