Bundesliga: Malik Pimpong signs with Eintracht Frankfurt through 2031

Eintracht Frankfurt has officially announced the signing of striker Malik Pimpong. At just 18 years old, he joins from FC Midtjylland and has committed to the Bundesliga club for the next five seasons.

Malik Pimpong is switching leagues. The young Ghanaian-born talent leaves Denmark for Germany after a remarkable season with Midtjylland. A true product of the Midtjylland academy, which he joined at U13 level, Malik Pimpong truly stood out during the 2025-2026 campaign. As the top scorer in the Danish U19 championship, he netted 25 goals in 38 matches for the club’s U19s. He also made a strong impression in the UEFA Youth League, tallying five goals and one assist in seven games, which earned him several call-ups to the senior squad.

A future on the international stage remains open

The young center-forward is the son of former Ghana international Razak Pimpong. Having represented Denmark at U17 and U19 levels, he has yet to appear for the senior national team and therefore remains eligible to play for Ghana at the international level.

Before leaving Denmark, Malik Pimpong sent a message of thanks to FC Midtjylland, highlighting the club’s decisive role in his personal and athletic development. His transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt sets a new sales record for the Danish club’s academy and marks a major milestone in the career of this promising young striker.
