CAF: Patrice Motsepe sets up an emergency and exceptional committee
Patrice Motsepe, president of CAF, wants to pick up the pace. He is now pushing to rapidly make one of his major projects a reality: the creation of the African Nations League.
According to information from WinWin, Patrice Motsepe has held multiple meetings in recent days focused on this upcoming competition, which was initially scheduled to launch in 2029. The South African has even decided to set up an "emergency and exceptional" committee tasked with developing the final format for the African Nations League.
It should be noted that during a recent meeting with the Executive Committee, Motsepe reportedly called for the work to be sped up, with three top priorities: defining the competition's structure, setting a precise timeline for its launch, and determining how to integrate it sustainably into the continental calendar. ExCo members have already submitted various proposals, including one from Samuel Eto’o, all of which are now set to be reviewed by this new commission.
