Only eight teams remain in the hunt for the CAN 2025 crown. The first two quarterfinals are set for this Friday, January 9, 2026.

Senegal and Mali will kick things off at 16:00 GMT at the Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier. It's a clash between two sides still unbeaten in the tournament.

The Lions of Teranga collected 7 points in the group stage (2 wins, 1 draw) before dispatching Sudan in the round of 16 (3-1).

Meanwhile, the Eagles of Mali have drawn all four of their matches so far. They dragged Tunisia to penalties before finally prevailing (3-2 on penalties).

Later in the evening, the hosts Morocco will take on Cameroon in a high-stakes showdown.

The Atlas Lions narrowly edged out Tanzania (1-0) thanks to Brahim Diaz, while the Indomitable Lions claimed victory in a thriller against South Africa (2-1).
