CAN 2027: official dates announced, tournament scheduled from June 18 to July 19
The 2027 Africa Cup of Nations is taking shape. Meeting at the Uganda Media Centre, the Ugandan local organizing committee confirmed the dates for the next edition of the continental tournament. CAN 2027 will be held from June 19 to July 18, marking a month-long football spectacle at the heart of East Africa.
Co-hosted by three countries—Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania—this edition, dubbed "PAMOJA," will go down in history as a first for the region. Regarding infrastructure, Uganda will stage matches at the Mandela National Stadium and Hoima City Stadium. Authorities have scheduled the completion of both stadiums and the eight associated training pitches for January 2027.
With just over two years to go until the event, preparations are ramping up to ensure a world-class tournament and deliver a football spectacle worthy of Africa's passionate fans.
