Carlo Ancelotti expects more from Vinicius at the start of this season. Ahead of Brazil’s upcoming matches, the head coach acknowledged that the Real Madrid forward is not currently at his best, while also highlighting the player’s qualities.

“He may not be in his best form”

Asked about the situation of Vinicius, Carlo Ancelotti made no secret of his expectations for the forward:

He may not be in his best form at the moment, but there is no doubt about Vinicius’ qualities. In particular, he had a very good World Cup. No player can constantly be at the peak of his form.

The Italian coach therefore believes that this spell does not call the Brazilian’s level into question.

Carlo Ancelotti maintains his faith

Despite this dip in form, Vinicius retains the confidence of his head coach. Ancelotti does not plan to leave out the Real Madrid forward:

He is one of the best players in the world. I am certain that he will return to his best level in the next matches. I have complete confidence in him.

Brazil will face Australia twice in the coming days before ending this series of matches against India. Vinicius will therefore have several opportunities to respond to his head coach’s expectations.
