Champions League: Luis de la Fuente consoles Arsenal

Spain's head coach Luis de la Fuente has already welcomed back his three Champions League finalists.

We're talking about David Raya, Mikel Merino, and Martin Zubimendi. They suffered defeat with Arsenal against PSG (1-1, 4-3 on penalties) last Saturday in the Champions League final. Wanting to lift their spirits, Luis de la Fuente said he was proud of their journey this season.

"I would have liked to lose 15 Champions League finals in the 15 years of my career. Listen carefully to what I say: lose. Do you know what it means to be in a Champions League final and have the chance to lose? And on top of that, unfortunately lose on penalties. They should be extremely proud. I am proud of them. I would be proud in their place: Premier League champions and Champions League finalists. It's been an incredible year for them," the coach declared.
