Champions League: Nicolò Tresoldi scores a hat-trick to secure a historic Club Bruges victory over Inter
Nicolò Tresoldi made headlines on Tuesday, October 13, by scoring a hat-trick against Inter Milan on Matchday 2 of the Champions League league phase. Thanks to their striker, Club Bruges won at San Siro after a spectacular encounter.
The Club Bruges striker first opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 30th minute. After Lautaro Martínez’s equaliser just before half-time, the young centre-forward took control of the match again by scoring two more goals, in the 63rd and 74th minutes.
With this hat-trick, Tresoldi gave the Belgian club a decisive advantage in a match in which Inter tried to get back on level terms. Club Bruges ultimately secured a resounding victory at the Italian club’s home ground.
This performance confirms Tresoldi’s ability to make the difference on the European stage. Already on the scoresheet against Aston Villa on Matchday 1, the striker is continuing his fine run and establishing himself among Club Bruges’ key players in this European campaign.

Tresoldi joins Demirović and Ferran Torres
Before Tresoldi’s feat, two players had already scored three goals in a single match on the opening day of the competition, played in September. The first was Ermedin Demirović, Stuttgart’s striker. On September 9, he scored a hat-trick in his team’s 3-1 victory over Viking FK. He scored all three goals in the first half.
A few hours later, Ferran Torres also scored a hat-trick for Paris Saint-Germain against Slovan Bratislava. The Spanish striker contributed to the Parisians’ emphatic 6-1 victory in his first Champions League match with the French club.
With his hat-trick against Inter, Nicolò Tresoldi has therefore become the third player to score a hat-trick in the 2026-2027 edition. His performance helped Club Bruges secure a 4-2 away victory after a spectacular encounter.
