Champions League: Vinicius erupts at Xabi over substitution against Kairat Almaty

Starting and captaining Real Madrid on Tuesday night against Kairat Almaty in the Champions League, Vinicius Jr ended the match fuming despite a dominant victory.

On Tuesday, during the second matchday of the Champions League, Vinicius Jr was named in the starting lineup to face Kairat Almaty. The Brazilian played a key role in the comprehensive win for Los Blancos over the Kazakh side (5-0). But in the 71st minute, Xabi Alonso opted to substitute him for his countryman, Rodrygo.

Vini was far from pleased with this decision. AS confirmed a report from Cadena SER stating that Vinicius Jr was furious about being taken off and made his feelings known. This outburst was reminiscent of the frustration he showed previously against Espanyol.
