Chelsea: Nicolas Jackson edging closer to the exit
The future of three Chelsea players is under the spotlight after Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson and Englishmen Liam Delap and Tosin Adarabioyo were left out of the squad selected to face Real Sociedad in a friendly on Saturday. The Blues went on to claim a 3-1 victory.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the trio was not included in the Chelsea squad, casting further doubt over their futures as the transfer window draws to a close.
Nicolas Jackson among those set to leave
Nicolas Jackson appears to be the closest to a departure. Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Atlético Madrid are all closely monitoring his situation, while Chelsea is demanding £60 million—around €69 million—to part ways with the Senegalese striker.
However, these high financial demands remain a significant stumbling block in negotiations. Aston Villa had initially considered a loan move for the player.
Meanwhile, Liam Delap has attracted interest from Nottingham Forest, who are exploring the possibility of signing the English forward. Chelsea is said to be asking for ÂŁ40 million to sanction his exit.
Tosin Adarabioyo is also on the radar of Olympique de Marseille, who are keeping a close eye on his situation ahead of a potential transfer.
The coming days should provide more clarity on the future of all three players before the transfer window slams shut on September 1.
