Victorious over Nigeria (2-1) in their final warm-up match, Portugal now heads into the World Cup brimming with confidence. Cristiano Ronaldo, who started the match in Leiria, took part in this last rehearsal before the tournament kicks off.

The Portuguese opened the scoring through Pedro Neto before Akor Adams brought the Super Eagles level. Francisco Conceição ultimately secured victory for the Seleção in the second half.

After the final whistle, Ronaldo didn’t hide his excitement. On his social media, the Portuguese captain said the preparations were over and the team could now fully focus on their World Cup objectives:

Preparation is done. All eyes are now on the World Cup.

Tipped as one of the title contenders, Portugal will kick off their campaign in a group featuring DR Congo, Colombia, and Uzbekistan.
