Derrick Luckassen signs with Red Star Belgrade

The Ghanaian international defender Derrick Luckassen has signed a three-year contract with Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade following the end of his spell at Pafos FC.

Red Star Belgrade have secured a new signing. The Serbian club officially announced on Friday the acquisition of Derrick Luckassen. Arriving on a free transfer after leaving Pafos FC, the Ghanaian international centre-back has committed to the next three seasons.

Luckassen will wear the number 32 shirt for the Serbian champions. His arrival strengthens Red Star's squad as they prepare to compete in domestic competitions as well as the European fixtures of the 2026-2027 season.

The experienced defender is also coming off a World Cup 2026 campaign with the Black Stars. In his debut match at the tournament, he found the back of the net before making a total of two appearances for Ghana.

This new challenge in Serbia marks another milestone in Derrick Luckassen's career, as he brings his international experience to Red Star Belgrade.
