The international window from September to October is set to be a busy one for the Leopards of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The coaching staff have scheduled a double-header of friendlies against Uganda immediately after Matchdays 1 and 2 of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Two-legged friendly against Uganda in South Africa

The FIFA international break, scheduled from 21 September to 6 October, will be put to good use. According to Foot RDC, the Congolese national team will play two friendly matches against Uganda. The two fixtures against the Cranes are scheduled for 2 and 5 October in Johannesburg. The aim is to test the squad and maintain momentum between official matches

First up: the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

The DRC will kick off their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on 24 September. The Leopards will host Equatorial Guinea at the Stade des Martyrs on matchday one. It is a home fixture that Sébastien Desabre intends to approach with ambition. After hosting the Equatorial Guineans, the Congolese squad will head straight onto the road.

On 28 September, the Leopards will travel to Harare to face Zimbabwe on the second matchday of the qualifiers. With such a tight schedule of competitive and friendly matches, the Leopards will have no respite.
