England: Nottingham Forest officially announces the arrival of Oliver Glasner as head coach

Nottingham Forest has officially appointed Oliver Glasner as head coach. The Austrian joins the Reds after leaving Crystal Palace at the end of the 2025-2026 season.

Regarded as one of Europe’s most respected and innovative managers, Glasner arrives with the ambition to lead Nottingham Forest into a new era of development. According to multiple sources, he will become the second-highest paid manager in the Premier League, behind Mikel Arteta, following Pep Guardiola’s departure.

An impressive European track record

The club has highlighted the remarkable achievements of the Austrian tactician. After guiding VfL Wolfsburg to UEFA Champions League qualification, he delivered Eintracht Frankfurt the 2021-2022 UEFA Europa League title—the club’s first major European trophy in more than forty years.

In England, Glasner went on to win the FA Cup in his very first full season with Crystal Palace, before adding the FA Community Shield and then the UEFA Conference League the following year.

In his first words, Oliver Glasner said he was "delighted" to join Nottingham Forest. He explained that he was convinced by the vision of the owner and leadership, as well as by the confidence placed in his long-term project.
