England: Thomas Tuchel retains FA support after Three Lions' World Cup exit

Thomas Tuchel, who came under fire after the defeat to the Albiceleste (2-1)—particularly for his tactical decisions and substitutions following Anthony Gordon's opening goal—is expected to continue leading the Three Lions through to Euro 2028, which will be partially hosted in England.

Criticism, but trust remains

Tuchel's decisions during the semi-final sparked plenty of reaction across England. Among his critics, Wayne Rooney notably argued that the manager's substitutions contributed to England missing out on a place in the final.

The former Bayern Munich and Chelsea boss also found himself at the center of debate after a tense exchange with Jude Bellingham following the quarter-final victory over Norway.

Despite these incidents, the FA is not considering a change in leadership. Tuchel himself has reaffirmed his commitment to the ongoing project.
