After the 2-1 defeat to Argentina on Wednesday in the semi-finals of this 2026 World Cup, Thomas Tuchel came under heavy fire for his defensive decisions.

In a press conference, the former PSG coach addressed his critics. "It's the nature of this game to be criticized. No one knows what would have happened if I had made different decisions. So it doesn't make sense for me to start asking myself these kinds of questions. I'm responsible for these choices, so I accept the criticism," the German tactician stated calmly.

Under contract until Euro 2028, Tuchel still retains the support of the English Football Association, according to the BBC.
