Europe: the top 10 clubs scoring the most goals!

After the opening rounds of the 2026-2027 season, FC Barcelona are leaving the competition standing still among the attacks in Europe’s five major leagues.

The 2026-2027 season is still only a few weeks old, but some attacks have already built up a spectacular lead. FC Barcelona comfortably lead the ranking of teams that have scored the most goals in Europe’s five major leagues.

This ranking takes into account only goals scored in league matches, excluding domestic cups and European competitions. The different number of matchdays already played must also be taken into consideration: seven in La Liga, five in the Premier League, Serie A and Ligue 1, compared with four in the Bundesliga.

FC Barcelona: 31 goals in 7 matches
Real Madrid: 18 goals in 7 matches
Brighton: 16 goals in 5 matches
Atlético de Madrid: 16 goals in 7 matches
Inter Milan: 15 goals in 5 matches
Bayern Munich: 14 goals in 4 matches
AS Roma: 14 goals in 5 matches
Manchester City: 13 goals in 5 matches
Villarreal: 13 goals in 7 matches
SC Freiburg: 12 goals in 4 matches

Barça already well clear

With 31 goals in just seven matchdays, Barcelona are averaging an exceptional 4.43 goals per match. The Blaugrana already have a 13-goal lead over their closest challengers, Real Madrid. The attacking festival against Racing Santander (7-2) was a notable illustration of their firepower.

La Liga is also the best-represented competition in this top 10, with four clubs: Barça, Real Madrid, Atlético and Villarreal.

Brighton and Bayern also impress

The main surprise comes from Brighton. The Seagulls have already scored 16 goals in five Premier League matchdays, or 3.2 per game. Their recent 3-0 win over Arsenal confirms an extremely spectacular start to the season.

Bayern Munich are also showing an impressive scoring rate: 14 goals in just four matchdays, or 3.5 per game. Inter follow with 15 goals in five matches, while Manchester City complete the group of attacks that have already surpassed 12 goals.

By contrast, no Ligue 1 team features in this top 10. Lyon and Strasbourg, the best French attacks at this stage, have each scored 10 goals after five matchdays.
