Fàbregas could leave Como for a symbolic fee to join 3 clubs

Como coach Cesc Fàbregas continues to attract interest after overseeing the Italian club’s rise from Serie B to the Champions League.

Since his arrival on the bench, Como 1907 has moved to another level. First promoted to Serie A, the club quickly established itself under Fàbregas’s management before securing a historic qualification for the Champions League.

A special clause in Cesc Fàbregas’s contract

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Fàbregas’s contract with Como includes a special clause that would allow him to leave the club for a symbolic fee if an offer were to come from Barcelona, Arsenal or Chelsea.

These three clubs are directly linked to Fàbregas’s career as a player. The Spaniard notably represented Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea during his career after coming through La Masia’s academy.

Despite this clause, Fàbregas does not appear to be considering leaving Como in the immediate future. The Spanish coach is reportedly turned down several offers during the most recent summer transfer window, notably from Italian clubs.

Under contract with Como until June 2028, Fàbregas took charge of the team in July 2024. Since his arrival, he has managed 89 matches, recording 41 wins, 23 draws and 25 defeats.

For now, Fàbregas is therefore continuing his adventure with Como, who have made an impressive start to the season, notably with a resounding 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
