FC Barcelona: Atlético Madrid makes a promise to Julián Álvarez
In recent hours, Atlético Madrid have reportedly made a significant commitment to Julián Álvarez. This notably concerns the Argentine's future.
According to information from Pipi Estrada, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín has reportedly promised the Argentine striker that he would reduce his release clause if he surpasses the 20-goal mark this season. This condition could considerably facilitate a transfer next summer. “Miguel Ángel Gil Marín promised Julián that if he reached 20 goals, he would reduce his release clause,” Pipi Estrada revealed.
It should be noted that other journalists on the El Chiringuito show, Jota Jordi and José Álvarez, do not specifically confirm this 20-goal condition, but they too insist that Atlético Madrid’s position regarding a future sale of their striker has changed. This opening comes after several difficult weeks between Álvarez and his club since the transfer window closed.
The Argentine has reportedly gone through a difficult personal period before the situation gradually settled down. The former Manchester City player remains fully integrated into Diego Simeone’s project for now and should retain a major role this season, as Atlético are also set to face Real Madrid in the derby soon.
