FC Barcelona: Castello Lukeba is a top priority for Hansi Flick

FC Barcelona is on the hunt for a left-footed centre-back to partner Pau Cubarsi. The Catalan club has set its sights on Castello Lukeba.

The RB Leipzig defender is reportedly the top target for Blaugrana head coach Hans-Dieter Flick, according to details from Mundo Deportivo. However, the Frenchman has a hefty release clause set at €80 million, while his market value on specialist site Transfermarkt is estimated at €50 million.

At these prices, it's clear the Catalan club won't be able to make an offer without first selling a player. The necessary funds could soon be raised through the sale of Alejandro Baldé or Jules Koundé, whose future remains up in the air.
