FC Barcelona: Catalan club maintains firm stance on Alejandro Baldé

At FC Barcelona, Alejandro Baldé is enduring a difficult start to the season. The young defender could even leave the Catalan club.

Alejandro Baldé has played just 12 minutes since the start of the season for FC Barcelona. That came in the La Liga match against Racing at Camp Nou. Baldé has not played since then in any of the other six league fixtures or in the Champions League against Feyenoord, and he was not even called up for the opening-day match against Elche. For Hansi Flick, Xavi Espart and João Cancelo are currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

Despite this situation, Alejandro Baldé remains determined to continue his adventure at Barça, where he is under contract until June 2028. The player still believes he can regain playing time and does not want to consider a departure just yet. FC Barcelona still hopes to change Baldé’s mind before the January transfer window, even though it considers this possibility unlikely. The club should nevertheless once again explore its options for his transfer during the next transfer window.
