FC Barcelona: Ferran Torres faces big questions about his future

In recent weeks, FC Barcelona has been confronted with rumors that Ferran Torres is in talks with PSG.

So far, the Blaugrana forward and his representatives have not communicated anything to the Catalan club, according to information from Mundo Deportivo. Barça, which has also not been contacted by PSG, will only consider his departure if the Spanish international personally requests it.

While waiting for a possible transfer request, the Catalan club hopes to extend his contract, which runs until 2027, but only in September in order to stay within La Liga’s financial fair play regulations. If Ferran Torres signs an extension, Barça will have to pay an additional €8 million to his previous club, Manchester City.

This is a bonus negotiated as part of his 2022 transfer.
