FC Barcelona: Hansi Flick firm on Ferran Torres' future
This Monday, Hansi Flick reviewed the current events surrounding FC Barcelona. He was questioned about the transfer window and the need to sign a new striker.
"We know we have to do something," admitted the German coach before adding: "We have to wait. I have total confidence in Deco, we know action is needed. It also depends on Ferran Torres. We'll see what happens."
However, between PSG's interest in Torres—who, according to our sources, wants to move to the French capital—and the Julian Alvarez pursuit, which is proving very complicated, FC Barcelona finds itself in a delicate situation.
Nevertheless, Hansi Flick does have some solutions: "Playing with a false nine? That will depend on the squad we have. Lamine Yamal has played that position with us once or twice. And I think he's a fantastic player, a world-class talent, so he could adapt to that role as well. Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi can play on both wings and also as a number nine. So, in reality, we have plenty of options."

Hansi Flick also addressed the potential signing of a midfielder after Frenkie de Jong's injury: "We're always thinking about improving our squad, about what's best for us. But for now, I believe we have a lot of midfielders. That's just how it is. And we'll see what happens in the coming weeks."
