Injured in the thigh at the beginning of the year, the Super Eagle has played only eleven minutes in 2025. His coach, García Pimienta, expressed confidence about his imminent return:

"The medical room is emptying, and Akor is progressing well. He has already participated in part of the training and feels in shape. Tomorrow, he will join the entire group, and we will assess his condition without rushing things," he explained.
