FIFA: fired, Kevin Lamour's letter revealed
After being dismissed for publicly opposing FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Kevin Lamour sent a lengthy message to all FIFA staff.
Removed from his position on August 17 after criticizing Gianni Infantino's controversial plan to open FIFA to private investors, Kevin Lamour, according to RMC Sport, felt compelled to directly address the organization’s teams in his farewell. The Frenchman first thanked Mattias Grafström, FIFA's Secretary General and second-in-command, for his trust and support.
The former FIFA Chief Operating Officer also paid tribute to several colleagues and operational managers, as well as Arsène Wenger, whom he described as an inspiration for his unwavering commitment to football. Lamour reflected on his two years spent within the organization.
