According to Foot Mercato, the Yellow Submarine is closely tracking Algerian midfielder Hicham Boudaoui, whose performances in the OGC Nice shirt have not gone unnoticed by the Spanish club's management.

The French outlet reports that Villarreal is particularly keen on the 25-year-old's attributes. Club officials have recently sought information about his contract situation.

Under contract with OGC Nice until June 2027, Boudaoui has been with the Riviera club since the summer of 2019. Over the seasons, he has established himself as a key figure in Nice's midfield thanks to his consistency and technical ability.

Since arriving in Ligue 1, the Algerian international has played 207 matches across all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 15 assists. With the Algerian national team, he has also earned 37 caps with the Fennecs.
