France: Bruno Genesio on the verge of becoming the new OM head coach

Olympique de Marseille has found its new coach. Bruno Genesio has reached an agreement with the Marseille club for a two-year contract and is expected to take charge of the team in the coming days, pending the finalization of Habib Beye’s contractual situation.

Bruno Genesio is on the brink of taking the reins at Olympique de Marseille. According to available information, the former LOSC manager is expected in Marseille before pre-season training begins on July 6. However, his arrival is still contingent on the official termination of Habib Beye’s contract, an essential step before his appointment can be made official.

This return to a Ligue 1 dugout marks a new challenge for Bruno Genesio, who left Lille at the end of the season. Former player and coach of Olympique Lyonnais, the 59-year-old tactician will be tasked with guiding OM toward their objectives in the league and on the European stage.

For this new chapter, Bruno Genesio will be surrounded by an experienced staff. Jérémie Bréchet and Dimitri Farbos will serve as assistant coaches, Nicolas Dehon will oversee goalkeeping training, while Thomas Choinard will be in charge of performance.
