France team: Zinédine Zidane has chosen Ibrahima Konaté's replacement

Bad news for the Real Madrid defender. Ibrahima Konaté is suffering from a sprain and has been forced to leave the France squad. Zinedine Zidane has opted for a newcomer.

This is Zinédine Zidane's first setback. While Les Bleus are due to face Turkey on Friday evening in the new head coach's first match in charge of the France team, Ibrahima Konaté has had to withdraw. After undergoing an MRI scan, he was found to have a slight sprain to his right knee and will be unable to take part in the squad's training camp.

To make up for his absence, Zinédine Zidane has decided to call up a newcomer in the person of Leny Yoro. The young Manchester United defender, who came through the ranks at Lille, will join the France squad and take part in his first training camp.
