Frankfurt reignite interest in Soungoutou Magassa
Soungoutou Magassa could already be on his way out of West Ham just a year after arriving. Having suffered relegation to the Championship with the London club, the French midfielder of Malian descent is once again drawing the attention of Eintracht Frankfurt.
According to Bild, the German side are closely monitoring the 22-year-old’s situation and are considering making another move for him in the upcoming transfer window. Magassa joined from AS Monaco for €17 million but endured a tough debut season in the Premier League. He featured in 26 matches, recording one goal and one assist.
West Ham’s relegation could trigger a flurry of departures, especially given the club’s delicate financial situation. Eintracht are looking to capitalize on this opportunity to strengthen their midfield. Although the Frenchman is under contract until 2031, the deal remains complicated, but his future could well lie away from London as early as this summer.
