On Wednesday evening, Arsenal faced Como in a friendly at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal needed a penalty shootout to claim victory (1-1, 4-3 on penalties). Despite taking the lead through Lewis-Skelly in the 33rd minute, the Gunners couldn't hold onto their advantage for long. Croatian international Baturina equalized just 10 minutes later. With this narrow win, the London club now turn their attention to next Sunday's clash against Manchester City in the Community Shield.

Far from England, Manchester United were also in action on Wednesday evening. Over in Dublin, the Red Devils and Leeds United produced a similar scenario, with the Mancunians also emerging victorious after a penalty shootout (1-1, 5-4 on penalties). Michael Carrick's men couldn't hold onto their early lead from Zirkzee (16'), as Aaronson equalized in the 29th minute.
