Galatasaray quickly reciprocated the momentum of the player's announcement. On Saturday, the Turkish club issued an official statement on their platforms confirming that formal talks are underway:

"Official negotiations have begun with the player and his club AC Milan regarding the transfer of professional football player Rafael Alexandre da Conceição Leão"

Widespread reports from specialized sports media suggest that Galatasaray is prepared to pay up to €45 million to secure his signature.

Leão is expected to sign a long-term contract extending until 2030 with the Istanbul-based club.
