FUFA contacts Divine Mukasa to represent Uganda

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has contacted Divine Mukasa in an effort to convince him to represent the Cranes. According to an exclusive report by Ronnie Santos, talks with the young English attacking midfielder have been positive, but the player and his family still want to take time to consider their decision.

According to information from Ronnie Santos, a meeting took place between FUFA representatives and Divine Mukasa. The contact was reportedly positive, but did not lead to an immediate commitment from the player.

Mukasa and his family have requested more time before making a final decision regarding his international future. FUFA will therefore have to wait as Uganda seeks to strengthen its squad with several players from the diaspora.

Nevertheless, optimism is growing around the possibility of seeing Mukasa wear the Cranes shirt in the near future. According to information reported by Ronnie Santos, his presence with Uganda at the next Africa Cup of Nations is now a possibility, although no official decision has yet been announced.

Eligibility through his father

Born in England, Divine Mukasa has Ugandan ties through his father. The player is therefore eligible to represent Uganda internationally.

The attacking midfielder has already represented England at youth level. In particular, he has progressed through the various England age groups and is regarded as one of the talents being closely monitored in his country of birth.

His international choice therefore remains open. Uganda is now trying to convince the player to choose the Cranes, as his profile matches the type of young diaspora talent FUFA is looking to attract.
