Galatasaray went into the international break on the back of a heavy defeat to Trabzonspor (4-0), a result that cost them top spot in the Süper Lig. The Istanbul-based club must now prepare to host Kasımpaşa before travelling to Barcelona. In this context, Victor Osimhen’s situation is being closely monitored.

The Nigerian, who joined his country during the five days of rest granted by the club, reacted on Instagram to a post announcing that he could play against Kasımpaşa. This interaction was interpreted as a positive message from the player.

An assessment scheduled in Istanbul

Osimhen had also been excused from the Nigerian national team camp because of his injury. Upon his return to Istanbul, the player is expected to speak with the coaching staff and the medical committee. His condition will be assessed before the next steps in his recovery are determined.
