Germany: Jürgen Klopp knows how to rekindle the flame

During this international break, Jürgen Klopp will make his debut on Germany’s bench. The former Liverpool coach wants to quickly put his stamp on the German national team.

On the eve of his first match in charge against the Netherlands in the Nations League, the former Liverpool manager explained at a press conference that he wanted to see a Germany team capable of fully exploiting its potential. This comes after several disappointing years for the national side.

"I promise nothing. What I can promise is that we will really try. We have the impression that we have less quality than other countries. (...) We want to be fully committed in every match to give ourselves a good chance of winning it. This is a good group of players and we want to become the best version of ourselves. They are exceptional talents. We need to adapt our football a little, be quicker and make a few adjustments," the German coach explained to reporters.
