Ghana: here are the Black Stars' bonuses for the 2026 World Cup

The Ghanaian government has unveiled the players' bonuses for the 2026 World Cup. It confirmed that each member of the national football team, the Black Stars, will receive a participation bonus of $100,000.

This is the same amount that was awarded during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Each player will pocket $100,000 as a bonus for the 2026 World Cup. The announcement was made by the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, during an interview on the Hot Issues program. He specified that this bonus will be paid simply for being named in the final tournament squad.

The minister also revealed that the government is awaiting the release of an overall budget estimated at 150 million Ghanaian cedis (GH¢) to cover all expenses related to the country's participation in the World Cup.

Ghana will compete in Group L and will kick off their campaign on June 17, 2026, in Toronto against Panama, before facing England in Boston on June 23, and then Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
