Gibraltar records the biggest win in its history against the British Virgin Islands (4-0)
Gibraltar reached a turning point in its young international journey by securing the biggest victory in its history since joining UEFA and FIFA. On the pitch at Europa Point Stadium, the Gibraltarian side dominated the British Virgin Islands with a resounding 4-0 win in a flawlessly controlled friendly.
Young talent James Scanlon, a product of Manchester United’s academy, was the star of the night, netting a brace and confirming his status as the latest sensation in local football. Leon Mason also got in on the action by finding the back of the net, while an own goal added to the visitors’ misery.
