Ipswich Town close to landing Abdul Fatawu
Ipswich Town are edging closer to signing Abdul Fatawu Issahaku. The English club has reached a verbal agreement with Leicester City for a transfer valued at £20 million (around €23.5 million).
The two clubs are finalizing the last details of the deal. The player is expected to undergo his medical next week before officially joining the Tractor Boys.
The Ghanaian international, who has also attracted interest from several clubs in recent weeks, now looks set to continue his career in the Premier League wearing Ipswich Town's colors—bolstering their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Meanwhile, Ipswich are also working on several outgoing transfers. Defender Harry Clarke has attracted interest from Bristol City, Stoke City, Sheffield United, and Preston North End. At the moment, Bristol City appears to be leading the race for a permanent transfer.
