Jules Koundé clarifies his future at FC Barcelona

On the eve of the match between France and Ivory Coast, Jules Koundé put an end to speculation surrounding his future. Asked about his situation at FC Barcelona, the French international made his position clear despite the many transfer rumors.

While several rumors have been circulating in Spain regarding his future, Jules Koundé was keen to clarify his situation. Speaking at a press conference with the French national team ahead of the friendly against Ivory Coast, the French defender delivered a particularly reassuring message about what lies ahead.

Although some Catalan media outlets have suggested he could be on his way out this summer, the 26-year-old was quick to dismiss the speculation. Asked about his commitment to the Blaugrana club, Koundé replied without hesitation:

"Am I 100% committed to Barça? I have a contract that runs until 2030, so in my mind, it's pretty clear."

The defender also explained that he is not letting himself get distracted, as he is currently focused on international duties.

"When you join up with the French national team, those things come later. I'm focusing on the competition. Until further notice, I'm at FC Barcelona and I hope to stay here next season," he concluded.
