Juventus: Igor Tudor replaces Thiago Motta (Official)

This Sunday, March 23, Juventus Turin officially announced the appointment of Igor Tudor as their new head coach. The 46-year-old Croatian coach replaces Thiago Motta, who was dismissed following a series of disappointing results.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tudor has signed a contract until the end of the season, with an option for an additional year.

The announcement was confirmed by the Turin club this Sunday, March 23. The former Olympique de Marseille coach, who has been without a club since leaving Lazio Rome in June 2024, is thus taking on a prestigious role.

Tudor, who played for Juve from 1998 to 2006, is set to lead his first training session tomorrow.

Thiago Motta shown the door

Having arrived from Bologna last summer, Motta could not withstand the team's poor form. Following successive eliminations in the UEFA Champions League playoffs against PSV Eindhoven and in the Italian Cup quarter-finals against Empoli, heavy defeats to Atalanta (4-0) and Fiorentina (3-0) sealed his fate.

Juventus, now 5th in Serie A, decided on his dismissal during a decisive meeting this weekend.

Igor Tudor will be tasked with turning the situation around and bringing the club back into the race for European places.
