Juventus have no intention of letting Rayan Aït-Nouri slip away, and they are laying the groundwork for a fresh push to lure the Manchester City defender to Turin.

Juventus is interested in Raiat Ait-Nouri

According to Bianconera News, the Italian heavyweights are poised to reignite their interest in the 25-year-old Algerian left-back once the January transfer window swings open. This is not the first time the Serie A side have come calling — they made an attempt during the summer, putting forward a loan proposal that included an option to buy. Manchester City, however, turned the offer down and made it clear they intended to retain the defender at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester United is also interested in Aït-Nouri

Manchester United made a surprise late attempt to sign Rayan Aït-Nouri from Manchester City during the summer transfer window, but the move collapsed due to disagreements over the deal structure.

According to BBC Sport, United approached City on deadline day after the Algerian left-back was offered to them by his agent. The Red Devils were seeking cover for Luke Shaw, their only senior orthodox left-back, and identified Aït-Nouri as a potential option.

However, Manchester City made it clear that any deal would have to be a loan with an obligation to buy, a condition United were unwilling to accept. United sources indicated they had no interest in a permanent deal for the 25-year-old, and negotiations quickly ended.

Aït-Nouri has struggled for minutes at the Etihad since joining from Wolves in June 2025 for £31m. He is currently third in the pecking order behind Joško Gvardiol and Nico O'Reilly, and has yet to make a Premier League appearance this season. Any direct transfer between the two Manchester clubs would have been the first since Terry Cooke moved from United to City in 1999.
