Ademola Lookman has finally opened his account for the season with Atlético Madrid. The Nigerian forward scored the Colchoneros’ second goal against Sevilla with a first-post finish, putting his side firmly in control before they eventually secured a 3-1 victory.

Deployed on the left wing, Lookman took advantage of the opportunity to rediscover his goalscoring touch. Against Sevilla, the Nigerian international showed great composure to beat the opposing goalkeeper and make it 2-0.

A First Goal at the Right Time

The goal comes at an important moment for both Lookman and Atlético. With Sørloth and Julián Álvarez absent, the Madrid club need their other attacking players to take on greater responsibility.
