LaLiga: Zlatan Ibrahimovic puts Yamal ahead of Mbappé

Having already named him as the leading favourite for the 2026 Ballon d'Or, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has once again placed Lamine Yamal ahead of Kylian Mbappé as the best attacker in La Liga this season.

Asked by ESPN FC to rank five of the best current players in La Liga blindly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic placed Lamine Yamal at the very top of his ranking. The Swedish legend put the young FC Barcelona player in first place, just ahead of Kylian Mbappé. Vinicius Junior completes the podium, while Raphinha takes fourth place and Jude Bellingham fifth.

It should be noted that the rules of the exercise required Ibrahimovic to immediately assign a position to each player without knowing the names that would be offered to him next. His final ranking is therefore as follows: 1. Lamine Yamal, 2. Kylian Mbappé, 3. Vinicius Junior, 4. Raphinha, 5. Jude Bellingham.
