Portugal: Jorge Jesus wants to reconcile with Cristiano Ronaldo
At present, the ball is now in Cristiano Ronaldo’s court in the dispute between him and the Portugal national team.
The Al-Nassr forward had left Portugal’s camp last Wednesday after feeling "betrayed" by his manager Jorge Jesus. He could return "whenever he wants", the coach said following the Seleção das Quinas’ 2-1 victory over Norway yesterday.
"I don't know what will happen. For me, anything is still possible. It is up to him to decide on his future before the call-up: if he plays and wants to be part of the national team, he will return whenever he wants. Why not? It is a misunderstanding and, in my opinion, it is easy to resolve. As far as I am concerned, everything is fine. When will it be resolved? I don't know, we'll see", declared the former Benfica coach at a press conference.
