Lawrence Setordjie joins Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt officially announced on Tuesday the signing of Lawrence Setordjie from Accra Lions FC. The 18-year-old Ghanaian attacking midfielder has penned a long-term contract with the Bundesliga side and will initially play for the U21 squad to continue his development.

This transfer marks a significant step in the sporting partnership established last year between Eintracht Frankfurt and Accra Lions FC. Lawrence Setordjie thus becomes the first player to join the German club as part of this collaboration focused on nurturing and developing young talents.

Despite his young age, the Ghanaian was captain of Accra Lions and stood out thanks to his maturity and standout performances. He has played over 50 official matches for the club, including 27 in the Ghana Premier League, where he scored one goal and provided three assists.

Eintracht banking on his huge potential

Before finalizing his transfer, Lawrence Setordjie had already impressed Frankfurt's management during a European tour with Accra Lions, particularly in matches against Eintracht's U19 and U21 teams.

Sporting director Timmo Hardung praised the young Ghanaian's qualities, highlighting his speed, mobility, technical ability, and his early experience at the highest level of Ghanaian football.

The German club now plans to support him both on and off the pitch to ease his integration and help him take the next step in his career.
