Ligue 1: Davide Ancelotti takes charge of LOSC
LOSC officially announced on Monday the appointment of Davide Ancelotti as head coach. The 36-year-old Italian has signed a two-year contract with the northern club, which will compete in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League during the 2026-2027 season.
Son of the renowned Carlo Ancelotti, Davide has built his career within some of the most prestigious institutions in European football. After starting as a fitness coach at Paris Saint-Germain, he went on to serve as assistant coach at Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli, and Everton.
His stint on the Madrid coaching staff saw him lift several major trophies, including two Champions League titles. At the same time, he earned his coaching qualifications, ultimately securing the UEFA Pro License.
The Lille challenge to prove himself
After a first experience as head coach at Botafogo in 2025, where he led the Brazilian club to Copa Libertadores qualification, Davide Ancelotti takes another big step by joining Lille.
President Olivier Lรฉtang praised the arrival of a "modern" and "ambitious" coach, while the Italian manager spoke of a project that aligns with his values. His mission now is to keep LOSC among the elite of French football while leading a bold campaign on the European stage.
